Automobiles have been around for over one hundred years and almost since their invention, Americans have been in love with them. Automobiles made travel much easier and today, owners of the same type of car often feel a kinship. Many form auto groups. These groups often have meetings and travel together to car shows. There are many different types of auto groups, but not all have the same type of car. Because antique cars are often fewer in number than the newer cars, there are some auto groups that are strictly for antique cars - no matter what the model. There are many antique auto shows across the country each year and auto groups travel to these to show off their cars. Most of the cars have been restored in some way and owners take pride in the look of their auto. While the auto shows attract many auto groups, they also attract people who love antique cars, but don't have one of their own. Just walking around looking at the cars of others can be fun. Because each one is unique, you may find several cars of the same model, but no two may look alike due to the owner's customizations. Many of the owners in auto groups will try to keep their antique cars looking as original as possible while some like to make their cars look newer with a brighter paint job or even painted flames on the hood.

But antique auto groups are not the only ones. Many models of autos have groups. Mustang owners like to form auto groups to get together and discuss the restoration and maintenance of their autos. PT Cruisers are a newer addition to the auto groups. There are many groups springing up all over the country. No matter if you are an owner or just someone that enjoys looking at cars, you can probably find an auto groups in your community.
